Prior Park Educational Trust is a family of three independent, but interdependent schools set in the beautiful South West of England and Gibraltar: Prior Park College, the senior school and The Paragon, the junior school, both in Bath and a senior school in Gibraltar.

Together, the Schools offer education for pupils aged between 3 and 18. Since the establishment of Prior Park College in 1830, the family has grown, with The Paragon School joining in 2006, and Prior Park School Gibraltar being opened by Prior Park Schools in 2016.

  • Pre-School Teaching Assistant - Bath

    Part Time Permanent, Term Time only

    Opportunity to join The Paragon School, Bath as a Pre-School Teaching Assistant providing a stable, secure and supportive environment in the classroom. Will support Early Years Foundation Stage teacher in the delivery of teaching and learning, helping to prepare resources and working with pupils in small groups and sometimes individually. The TA support ensures that every child is able to enjoy individualised, limitless learning.

    The successful candidate will have experience of working with children in a classroom setting and hold a Level 6 Childcare qualification or equivalent and report to the, Nursery Lead.

    Working 8.15am-3.45pm Monday to Friday. Role to commence 31 August 2023.

    You will be joining our Learning Support department at an exciting phase in its expansion, delivering exceptional SEND support via a mix of 1:1 and small group teaching groups and within the classroom, supporting our teaching staff. The Department is led by the SENCO and currently consists of two dedicated teachers of SEND and one Teaching Assistant.   • Hospitality and Events Associate - Bath

    Exciting new permanent opportunity to work as Hospitality and Events Associate, this is a key role providing support to the wide range of commercial activities hosted at Prior Park College. These include up to 20 Weddings per year, internal and external residential letting programmes, baptisms, parties, anniversaries, wakes and large-scale sports events involving multi disciplines.

    The post holder will have experience within Events and Hospitality, demonstrating an ability and willingness to meet and challenge existing targets, aligned with a keen interest and understanding of the Sports and Leisure industry.

    The Events & Hospitality Associate will need to be aware of all aspects of the hospitality and leisure sectors, including consumer trends, with enthusiasm to identify and relate to a wide range of requirements from clients across all ages and demographics.

    Experience of managing facilities within the education sector although not essential, would be beneficial.

    The post holder will be required to either hold, or be willing to gain appropriate, First Aid qualifications and a premises licence.

    The range of facilities at Prior Park College are impressive and are conveniently located within the grounds of the College. There are extensive indoor and outdoor facilities to accommodate special events and sporting occasions.

    The licensed Mansion House provides access to a wide range of function rooms suitable for hosting special occasions, with the venue recently attaining ceremony venue status.     Leisure facilities include the Bury Sports Centre with large Fitness Suite, 4 changing rooms, kitchen, classroom and physiotherapy room. The grounds extend to over 57 acres of parkland and pitches, complimented by a full-sized all weather playing surface (not floodlit) used for Hockey and Tennis.

    Boarding accommodation extends to over 160 beds, with an extensive and expanding residential lettings program for internal and external hires during School holiday periods, coordinated and managed by the commercial department.

    The post holder will follow a flexible working pattern, averaging 37.5 hours per week across a 4-week rota basis, including mornings, evenings, and weekends to meet the needs of the business.

  • Cleaner - Gibraltar

    Opportunity for an enthusiastic person with a keen interest in cleaning to work in a busy school environment and join an excellent support team. The role is fixed term, commencing around 20 August 2023 until the end of March 2024 with a possible extension depending on the needs of the school. The role is 10 hours per week 4pm to 6pm, term time only.

  • Grounds Person, Estates Technician - Bath

    Grounds person required, ideally with cricket / sports pitch preparation experience. This is a a key role responsible for carrying out preparation, maintenance and upkeep of grounds sports surfaces both grass and artificial, to the highest possible standard to include creating, marking out and setting up of playing surfaces plus maintaining lawns and schools grounds work areas.

    Will be working within the Estates Department which maintains the grounds and gardens at both Prior Park College and the Paragon school, will be capable of working individually or as part of a team. A driving licence is essential for this role.

    This Estates Team maintain the schools’ general maintenance, ensuring compliance and carrying out small capital works. The grounds and gardens side consists of gardeners, grounds persons specialising in sports preparation and grounds presentation.

    Salary £21-23,000pa

  • Administration Assistant, Reception (Part Time) - Bath

    Exceptional, and experienced Administration Assistant/Receptionist required to join our friendly school whose primary purpose will be to fulfil our crucial Receptionist services. The Receptionist is the first point of contact for pupils, parents, staff, and visitors, and holds a central role in promoting Prior Park’s welcoming and engaging environment. It is a vital role to the smooth running of the College. The post holder will also undertake general administration duties to support delivery of our first class education and co-curricular programme.

    The position is a job share role and flexibility is essential as the post holder will be working a combination of morning shifts (8.00am – 1.00pm) and afternoon shifts (1.00pm – 6.00pm). Working Monday to Friday five hours per day.

    The permanent post is required for 40 weeks of the year, 35 weeks during term time plus a further 5 weeks, predominantly over the summer holidays.

    The key functions of the role are as follows:

    • Responsibility for the smooth day to day running of Reception and to ensure that the desk and the Mansion Hall are always clear and tidy
    • Providing a professional meeting and greeting service to parents and visitors
    • Overseeing the electronic visitor/student/staff management system and ensure that all visitors sign in and out as per protocols
    • Assisting with the issuing of lanyards and wrist fobs for staff and students
    • Handling incoming calls, emails and taking accurate messages
    • Dealing with deliveries received on site, liaising with the Estates Department and the Boarding Houses to ensure efficient processing of deliveries
    • Preparing formal correspondence via the school database
    • Assisting with the recording of student absences and to assist ensuring statutory registration requirements are met both in the morning and the afternoon
    • Assisting the Examinations Officer with the arrival and dispatch of confidential exam papers
    • Administration for overseas school trips, liaising with trip organisers and the Finance Departments as required
    • Setting up and overseeing the administration of theatrical and musical ticket sales via online booking system.
    • Assistance with preparation and set up of events, e.g., parent evenings, Open events, carol service etc.
    • Additional administrative help, predominantly during the school holidays

    £10.60 per hour.

    Great opportunities currently available to join our professional catering team at Prior Park College, Bath. We are now recruiting for a Chef and Catering Assistant working full time, term time plus summer school. Plus a Kitchen Porter offering flexibility on hours worked.
