Heavenly Harmonies

Join Bath Choral Society in the delightful setting of Prior Park College for an afternoon of summery music.

If you like Mozart and Haydn, you will love Hummel’s Mass in D. He was a pupil of both composers and he inherited their inventiveness and wit. Sir William Henry Harris, was organist at St George’s, Windsor, where he taught the young Princesses, Elizabeth and Margaret. His splendid setting of Spenser’s Faire is the Heaven is English choral music at its best and will be complemented by William Byrd’s perfect miniature Ave Verum.

There will also be other gems from the English choral tradition, all conducted by David Gostick.

The concert will start at 3pm on Sunday 16 July in Prior Park College Chapel.
